Designer Spotlight: Michael Sislofsky

I have been designing board games since 1995, but

it began quite by accident. While I was sleeping one

night, I had a dream that I was playing a game. The

details of the game were extremely vivid, and the

game was really fun. When I woke up, I tried to

determine which of our games I had been dreaming

about, but I soon realized that the game did not

exist. I thought I should write down what I dreamt.

Not long after, I created a crude prototype of that

game, and the rest is history. I have designed party

games, light strategy games, and heavier euro game

but designing games has been mostly just a hobby.

I have been playing games since I was very young,

and the hobby has just kept growing on me ever

since. I like to play various types of games,

depending upon who I am playing with, but my favorite

are probably light and medium weight euro games.

I also like to travel, see great architecture, view

natural wonders, visit gardens, and ride roller

Michael is working on: The ROLL-ympic Games.
